Meet Allie

Trainer & Biomechanics Expert

Allie is a three-day event rider based in Western Wisconsin. She has successfully competed through the 3*L level of eventing and third level dressage on horses she has developed herself. Known for her kindness, incredible eye, and patience, Allie has worked with horses of all breeds and backgrounds, creating a reputation for thoughtful, individualized training.

Today, Allie focuses on developing both horses and riders through a well-rounded training program rooted in strong groundwork and clear communication in the saddle. She believes each horse-and-rider pair is unique, and tailors her approach to meet their specific needs and goals. Her students range from beginners just learning the foundations to upper-level competitors looking to refine their performance. Whether starting young horses, filling training gaps, or coaching riders toward competitive milestones, Allie emphasizes clarity, confidence, and partnership.

In addition to her equestrian expertise, Allie holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, giving her a deep understanding of rider biomechanics and how a rider’s body directly influences their horse. She integrates this knowledge into her teaching and training while also providing specific biomechanics and therapeutic services to help riders move more effectively and develop greater harmony with their horses.

Allie’s equestrian journey began at age 8 thanks to a generous family friend. She continued her development through the United States Pony Club, ultimately earning her “B” rating. Her education expanded through several working student positions in the U.S., mentorship under an “L” certified dressage judge, and time in Ireland riding for an eventing and steeplechase yard. These experiences gave her a comprehensive understanding of horse care, training, and the business of managing a successful equine operation.

Committed to lifelong learning, Allie continues to advance her skills by riding with top professionals including David O'Connor, William Fox-Pitt, Rebecca Holder, Jon Holling, Robin Walker, Lainey Ashker, Allison Springer, Yves Savignion, Ralph Hill, Dom Schramm, and many others.

  • Riding and training with Allie has been absolutely amazing. Her teaching style is incredibly personal and can meet you at your level, no matter what level that is. Every lesson I can confidently say that I walk away having learned something, and it’s always something that I can easily repeat and can continue to work on between lessons!

  • I have been riding with Allie for the last few years and have nothing but amazing things to say about her. She gives 110% to make sure you and your horse are happy. I wouldn’t be where I am today without Allie.

  • Allie is an amazing person. She is so understanding always knows what to say, and always puts the horse and rider as a pair first. She is super game, honest and intelligent. I look up to her a lot as a role model. Cannot say enough good things about Ad Astra Eventing, and would recommend to anyone in the Twin Cities or Western Wisconsin area.
